TF Song Game - WTF?!

A great big fucking welcome to you all,

Here is a blog entry for people whose song entries are so WTF that people can't even see WTF is WTF about it.

Same guidelines apply as normal - try and avoid personally identifying yourself in your reply. Replies can be as long or as short as you like, or non-existent. Any replies will be copied into the TF song game thread so that others can see them.

  1. Jan Garbarek and the Hilliard Ensemble - Parce Mihi Domini

Soprano jazz saxophone blended with 12-15th century Gregorian chant. The devil's music played in a church. Beautiful :awww:

  2. ADU - Czysta Pipa

What is WTF here? Everything - video, beat, lyrics, which I am posting here:

Don't be surprised that you have tooth decay when you lick dirty tits
don't be surprised that you have nightmares when you crack dirty stones
don't be surprised that you have rhagades when you ride dirty rumps
don't be surprised that you choke hary when you suck dirty lips

    clean cunt isn't itchy
    doesn't rot and doesn't straddle
    dirty stinks the whole fungus
    and water from restroom

    clean cunt doesn't lie
    fail and spring
    dirty cunt doesn't heat
    and the cunt isn't trying

    CHORUS:
    THAT'S ME!
    YOUR CLEAN CUNT!
    YOUR CLEAN DICK
    IS CALLING YOU!
    (x2)

  3. Shamir - On the Regular

I had a very visceral WTF reaction yo this song after seeing the video for the first time. I initially heard it come on at a restaraunt I was dining at, and thought the relentless beats and catchy hook were equally annoying, but infectious. After Shazaming it, my jaw dropped to see that it was performed by a man. In my heart of hearts I thought for sure it was a lady. That was my WTF moment.

  4. As Silent Bird pointed out, Siobhan Donaghy's Ghosts was released in 2007. It's a fantastic album but this song raised my eyebrows because:

    1. To this date people are still unsure whether the song is sung backwards and the lyrics are still indecipherable.

    2. There's a YouTube version of the song played backwards and you can actually make out some of the words.

  6. Karen Dalton.

One of the most WTF voices I've heard. Still to this day, I can't completely deal with it, I don't find that voice attractive at all, yet mixed with a haunting melody and arrangement as is the case on "Something on your mind", it creates a unique blend of pain and beauty. You cannot be used to it, it will stay weird forever. May be what makes it priceless. It's a WTFF song. What The Fuck Forever.

  7. Omar Souleyman - Warni Warni

Actually I never intended to send this song, but game 54 somehow inspired me to look for a totally new entry and this bloke first came to mind. He actually performed in my city once and my mates told me he was awesome. Well, they were right - this song was just CRAZY and totally WTF-worthy...I mean...the video...

  8. Suicide a go-go - Big in Japan

One of the main reasons I started listening to punk music is this band. Or better, this song.
They used to define themselves "a little too eccentric". I think this song is a proof.

  9. Govinda is an Indian religious song arranged into britpop and performed by the native Brits. My Indian friend was very wtf in a wrong way when he heard it. Fortunately, I don't care too much. When I heard it first time 20 years ago it was the first time I've ever heard something like it and it got me very hooked.

  10. The American Metaphysical Circus.
If the cacophony of marches/circus sounds wasn't WTF already, then we start listening the distorted/creepy voice of Dorothy Moskowitz in what sound like a proto-electronic vocal piece, many years before Electronic music was a thing. This being released in 1968 seems very ahead of its time.
Not WTF enough? Just listen/read the lyrics. Peak phychodelic craziness.

This is really a unique song which freaks me out a bit a fascinates me at the same time.

First time I heard it I rolled my eyes thinking why is this Eastern European person trying to be Kawaii. About 30 seconds into the song though I was completely hooked into her quirky vocal style.

  12. Lola - The Kinks

When I first heard this song I loved it! The music the singing everything was just great about the song. So where does WTF come in?

I had never heard the word transvestite and I sure didn't know what one was! Later on in life I found out what the song was about.

So when this game came up I thought WTF I loved a song and didn't even know what it was about. And I still love the song!

Well, first time I heard this song I was totally depressed. It sounds awful, but when I saw choreography I couldn't stop laughing! Well, the lyrics are the worst part of this song.
